- The relationship between the Urban Tour Guide and children on a tour is always one of
mutual honor and respect. Respect on the leader’s part must include recognition of
absolute rights of children to the privacy of their own minds and bodies. - Touching a child is inappropriate, including using any form of touching to change or
control a child’s behavior. (exception for a child safety situation) - Use of language which is personally threatening or demeaning is always inappropriate.
- Ethnic, socio-economic comments or slurs are never permitted.
- At all times while touring, it is required that two adults (18+) be in attendance with the
children. - Children, school personnel and chaperones may not be discriminated against because of
gender, age, race, religion, ethnicity, national origin or disability.
