  • Universal Accesibility

Certain areas of each tour offer special means of access for persons with disabilities. It is good to be familiar with these in advance, especially if the teacher has indicated that there is a special needs child in your group who will have to make use of them. For instance, you might need to be aware where a flight of steps would necessitate a different route for someone in a wheelchair, or you may need to know the whereabouts of an elevator if someone in the group will have difficulty climbing stairs. The whole group should use the alternative means of access wherever possible in order to stay together and maintain the pace of the tour.

Directions on universal accessibility are different for each tour and can be found in the appropriate tour-specific section of this handbook.
